Busteni spa is situated on Prahovei Valley (the most renowned touristical area from Romania) on foot of the Caraiman (2384 m) and Costila (2489) mountains, being penetrated by Prahova river and by the main road which connect Bucharest with Brasov. The spa is named "Bucegi's Gate" too, being the most important starting point in hikings or alpin ascensions in Bucegi Massif. The met landscapes make from Busteni one of the most seeking touristical places. In this sense its are remarked: Piatra Arsa, Jepii Mari and Jepii Mici, Caraiman - on its peak had erected a monument in honour of heros passed away in I.world war, Costila Peak - named "alpinists' paradise", Babele and Sfinx - the most visited monuments of the nature, formed during the time due to the rains and wind, Urlatoarea Waterfall. Near these touristical natural objectives, in this zone you also could visit: Ortodoxe Church (1889), Cezar Petrescu’s memorial house - where the prose writer created the most part from his work (1892-1961) and the "Ultima grenada" (Last grenade) Monument - dedicated to Vasile Musat hero, passed away in I.world war (1928). Through ski piste’s arrangement with artificial snow instalation and cable transport, Busteni spa became more attractive growing its amusement possibilities.
